Happy Mother’s Day to YOU [giveaway]

Genet Scarf for ONE from FashionABLEMother's Day is almost here, and I'd like to give you a present. I know you're not my mother, but you are the reason I do what I do here every day and I am so grateful for that.

I have a beautiful, handmade GENET scarf — a collaboration between ONE, ALT Summit and FashionABLE — to give away to one Parent Hacks reader.

The story of the Genet is arguably as beautiful as the scarf itself. I told the story to friends when I wore my scarf for the first time at the Mom 2.0 Summit. How often do we get to tell stories about what we're wearing?

Well, I'd like to pass the story onto you. (But not my scarf. You get a new scarf!)

Happy Mother's Day, dear Parenthackers. You are the very best.

Thank you to all who entered. I will contact the winner via email. Happy Mother's Day!

To enter, just leave a comment on this post. On Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 10am PST, I will randomly choose one winner. US residents only and one comment per person, please. Don't forget to include your email address so I can get in touch with you if you win.

Thank you to the ONE Campaign for giving me the opportunity to visit FashionABLE in Ethiopia. I am so proud to wear this scarf. If you'd like to read my dispatches from the ONEMoms Ethiopia trip, click here.

For my daughter and her daughter to cherish the meaning of a GENET scarf – we are all part of one human family.

I have always wanted to buy one of these FashionABLE scarves. I love them all! I wear scarves every single day (which is actually possible in the SF climate)–I’d put it to good use :)

Love products like these — they make the best gifts as there’s always a story to tell when you give it and for the receiver to pass on! And women helping women is always a reason to smile. :)

So appropriate…black and white. Reminds me of the saying comparing life to photography…you need the negatives to produce the positives.
