The 11 books I wish I read as a new mom

Babble Voices: The Accidental ExpertParenting books did a number on my self-confidence when I was learning the ropes as a new mom. In fact, the gulf between "expert parenting" and my life was what prompted me to start Parent Hacks.

But modern parenting advice -- what it is, where it comes from and how it feels -- is evolving.
