Back from vacation!

I'm back from Spring Break and readjusting to real life in cold, wet Portland. Can you hear the whine in my voice?

It's obnoxious, but I can't seem to kick it. A week in Hawaii has turned me into a spoiled brat. Seriously -- we're all moping around here as we shuffle around with ukulele music playing on our iPods, and puka shell necklaces and fake flower leis under our rain jackets.

Twelve more hours of petulance, then I promise to get back to loving the Pacific Northwest (as I truly do).

Babble Voices: The Accidental Expert

I've got two new posts up at The Accidental Expert which you may not have seen:

Insert Gratuitous Spring Break Pictures Here: Why this was the year to go for broke on a Spring Break adventure (with photos from our trip to Maui).

On the Walk to School: Why it's so important for me to walk my daughter to school every day -- even though she's old enough to go on her own.

How is your Spring shaping up so far?

I would see it as an chance to talk about reality :-)
Not that I have needed to do it, but I can't see that the need to fool my kids outweighs problem.
