Glow stick bracelets light the way to the hotel bathroom
Donna's trick for helping kids navigate hotel rooms after dark:
Recently on vacation, my kids had a hard time finding the hotel room bathroom in the middle of the night.
I used those cheap bracelet glow sticks and wrapped around the door knob of the hotel bathroom to allow them to find it. Once they find the door they can remove the glow stick and it provides just enough light for them to find the toilet.
I also give each kid a bracelet before they go to bed so they have a little light on the bedside table.
I could see this hack working well during camping trips!

We use something similar for cub scouts to find their way to the latrine on camp outs at a campsite. Put up a glow stick or bracelet outside of the latrine building to provide general direction of travel.

Yeah definitely good idea. How about a night light in the room?

Snap another glowstick and stick it close by. :)

And I hadn't thought of this why? I have left more nightlights than I can count in more cities than I can count. I've even bought them in bulk, assuming I will continue to leave them behind when we travel. Glowsticks would cost a great deal less!

We stay in those family suite hotels with a little kitchen, and the kids sleep on the pullout couch in the living room. For a nightlight, I just leave the door to the microwave open.

Hotel rooms often come with amazing views. But what about the bathroom? These spectacular resorts make sure to take full advantage of their surroundings.
