No-fuss birthday cake decoration: Mr. Potato Head parts
Stephanie's quick tip for decorating birthday cakes:
We were decorating the cakes for our twin boys' 2nd birthday when I realized I had bought the wrong decorating supplies. No longer able to make black icing at the last minute, my mother in-law suggested we use toys. Our boys love Mr. Potato Head, so that's what we went with. It was easy, fast, and the kids got decorated cakes without any colored frosting!
Those cakes are hilarious! Just be sure to wash the toys first (we all know what two year-olds do with those Mrs. Potato Head lips!).

Thats SO cool! I'm going to start using my kids toys as decorations! Maybe a simple cake but with one of my girls tiaras sitting on the top! Cute Thanks!

Using Mr. Potato head parts also makes an easy way to decorate pumpkins when carving is to much for the little kids. I love the idea of the cakes. Brilliant!!

Great ideas. Using pieces of the Mr. potato also makes an easy way to decorate pumpkins when the size is too much for young children. I love the idea of cakes. Brilliant work!
