Happy Halloween, Parenthackers!

Well, everyone, Halloween is upon us. I'm proud to say that I finished the kids' costumes and they're happy with the results (they're Link and Zelda from The Legend of Zelda video game). Pumpkins are carved (and sprinkled with cinnamon), house is minimally decorated, treats are purchased, husband has procured requisite silly wig.

I just wanted to hop on and wish you a fun, fun day with your kids tomorrow. As with the winter holidays it's too easy to get caught up in the stress of preparation, or (curse the word) perfection. Your kids will have just as much fun without animatronic zombies in the front yard and Broadway show-worthy costumes. Whether they love the silly spookiness of it all, or they prefer handing out candy with you...enjoy it with them.

Happy Halloween!

My son was Link two years ago! We all loved that costume.
