Halloween hack: Use colored pencils in place of face paint for fine lines
Julie's precision face "painting" hack:
I had some trouble when I was trying to make a thin scar on my little pirate. The face paints I had bought were anything but precise, and the colors weren't vibrant. I got out the kids' colored pencils (they should be water color pencils, most are, but some more expensive kinds are not) and made perfect scars in exactly the colors we wanted. Even after it drys, the pencil easily comes off with a wet wipe. They are non-toxic, so no worries there, but you better check your pack of pencils first.

I never thought of that, I didn't realize they'd write on skin! I've used my eyeliner pencil before, but the color selection there isn't as good!

I'm using a pink lipliner for my little Harry Potter's scar! That should work well, too.
