Swim goggles protect sensitive eyes from nebulizer mist

Rachel's tip will help families dealing with asthma and other respiratory illnesses:

My 4 year-old has recently gotten a terrible cold, and though he hasn't needed his nebulizer in two years, we had to pull it back out. He was okay with it until his eyes started bothering him. The mist was irritating his eyes, and since we usually turn on a favorite DVD to watch while nebulizing, it was not a good thing. Then suddenly I remembered I had given him a cheap pair of swim goggles to use with the sprinkler this summer. I put the goggles on him, he happily watched his movie, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I think I'm going to keep a cheap pair of goggles in the nebulizer bag from now on!

Great idea, I'll have to try it with my 5 year old. It will probably make it more fun if he can wear goggles.
