Candy Land board game as tabletop car racetrack

Vanessa's son came up with a new way to play with his toy cars and trucks:

I love being able to repurpose toys so I was thrilled when our son figured this out on his own. Our 4-year-old son bores easily when "racing" his cars and trucks across our floors and coffee table. Then he discovered a new place for them to compete - he'd left a Candy Land game out and decided his cars and trucks wanted to race along the board's windy playing path. Voila! A new race car track with twists, curves and a mountain. And better yet, it's portable - it works GREAT in the car, on his lap. Since then, we've learned this also works with Chutes and Ladders!

We did this as kids with the game Life. Had buildings, bridges, and mountains. We love it with our micro-machine cars.
