That's a great tip about the camera. I work at a store at Disneyland and every once in a while we'll find a camera that nobody steps forward to claim. I always feel bad because we'd like to return it. This would be immensely helpful.
Additionally, if you've lost your camera, you can always check the "I found your camera" blog: http://www.ifoundyourcamera.blogspot.com/
People who have found cameras submit one or two pictures and details about where the camera was found in the hope that a viewer will recognize their photos and the camera can be returned. It's certainly worth a try if you've lost your camera.
