Yoga mat makes a good floor-level coloring surface

From Kristy:

My toddler loves to color while sitting on the floor but doesn't understand the difference between hardwood and paper. We use washable crayons but it's still a pain to clean up after a particularly creative session. Now we use the yoga mat under the paper to help ensure that stray marks are contained.

Along the same lines, I've found that some steps I bought for using with an exercise video can double as a stool for washing hands, watching me cook, etc. for my 3.5-year-old.

Yoga mat is also a good base for jig saw puzzles on carpeting!
