Details: My CNN appearance tonight
Well, it's official. For the first time, "Turner Networks" appeared on my caller ID -- it was CNN calling to prep me for my big media moment tonight. Here are the details:
The show: CNN Newsroom
The topic: Talking to your kids about the economy, specifically during the holidays
The anchor: Don Lemon (@donlemoncnn on Twitter)
The time: 8PM PST/10PM EST (Mindy and I are scheduled to appear around 8:30pm)
The original Momversation episode:
If you've got anything you'd like to contribute to the conversation, please let me know in the comments! I hope to point to Rachel's lovely hack suggesting we give our kids some perspective on "scaled down" holiday giving by sponsoring a child through a relief organization.

Congrats!!

Thank you so much, Amanda! It was a lot of fun. I don't get CNN so I haven't seen it yet! Am waiting on the kindness of others with better cable than I. Video to follow soon -- I should be getting some from CNN or the Momversation folks.

Congratulations! How exciting! I have your widget on my blog and love all the great tips!
My family "adopts" an Angel (child) through our Angel Tree program in our community each Christmas. They get so much excitement in getting the gifts for the child. I know, however, they love knowing that they are helping someone less fortunate than they are.
Last year, we picked an Angel that only had "socks" listed.
I am happy to say that Angel hopefully had a warm and fun winter with clothes and games chosen by my daughters and me.
To know there are children out there that realize over all that could be "wanted", this Angel child "needed" socks and that is exactly what she asked for. The only thing she asked for.
What a learning life lesson for my children to partake in. As well as for myself.
