Craft supplies: the gift that lasts all year

Sarah's gift idea would keep kids of all ages entertained all year:

With the holidays around the corner I was on the lookout for long-lasting gifts for my two and a half year old son. He loves crafts, so I came up with the idea of ordering a bunch of inexpensive, creative craft supplies (They're cheap when ordered in bulk, I ordered from orientaltrading.com). I bought a huge assortment of wiggle eyes, feathers, wooden craft sticks, felt, pompoms, foam shapes, pipe cleaners, etc. and am going to put them in a huge "craft basket" to give him for Christmas. I even saved some mismatched socks to use for puppets. The whole kit only cost $35 and will give him months of imaginitive entertainment.

I did this for my kids for Christmas last year, and I put everything in tackle boxes. They have lots of neat little compartments for sorting the different materials.

This is so my idea for this year! The only thing is that I need a great hack for how to get them to keep lids on the markers and the googly eyes and popsicle sticks and such in their rightful places... oh boy!

That's so funny, I was just looking on the Land of Nod website and thinking about their big jar of craft supplies. It's $29...maybe more than it'd cost me to put it together, but not TOO expensive considering all that's in it.

If you go to Discount School Supply.com you will find hundreds of craft supplies of great quality and at Very low prices. It is an amazing resource for all things crafty that you cannot find at this price or variety elsewhere. They also have toys and products to use for kids with different needs. Their service is amazing, everything comes quickly and as promised. Happy Holidays! Claudia, Mom of 4 going on 5!
