Personalized gingerbread "friends" make popular gifts

Personalized gingerbread cookiesKaty Lee's (Adventures in Parenting) idea is less a hack than a holiday handmade project and gift idea in one:

My teenage daughter used a gingerbread man cookie cutter, decorated them to look like her friends, and gave them to her friends for Christmas. Just use small candies and sprinkles for clothes and accessories, and different colored frostings for hair. She also made some to look popular anime characters to give to her friends. Her friends liked them so much they didn't want to eat them!

I got a version of this from one of my middle school students as what has to be one of the best teacher presents ever.

This is a great idea. ha ha! Cracked me up

Such a great idea--we are going to do this for my daughter's preschool friends and make them all ginger-princesses :)! Thanks!
