Amazon deals: HP Photosmart printer half off, and BOGO Thomas the Tank Engine DVDs

Dang. I just poked around to see if Amazon had any good deals going and was bowled over with all the sale stuff. (Lots of jewelry. Do people really buy jewelry from Amazon?)

Two deals in particular stood out as potentially interesting to Parenthackers:

The HP Photosmart D7160 printer is on sale for over half off -- just under $63. I love my photo printer. My kids enjoy having a changing array of photos in the little frames on their dressers.

Amazon's also having a Buy One, Get One Free sale on kids' DVDs. But when I clicked over, I saw that they were exclusively Thomas the Tank Engine DVDs. If you're like me and you have a boy, you went through (or are going through, or will go through) The Thomas Phase. Thomas 24/7. Thomas, Thomas, Thomas. Resistance is futile.

If you're there right now, this is a good time to pick up some DVDs -- some of them are on sale for $6.99.

Nice deal! Amazon rocks especially with the free shipping for over $25 or Prime.

I didn't know that only boys were allowed to watch Thomas and Friends...?

I bought a necklace from Amazon once. :)

So when I click on the printer and then the "show me the price", it says it is $79. Why is that?

If you're like me and you have a boy, you went through (or are going through, or will go through)

Really? My 3 year old daughter is so into Thomas I had to buy her Thomas underwear, since they don't make panties with Thomas on then. And she wears them. And clarifies they are underwear, not panties.

Lame me. Of course there are girls who love Thomas and it was silly of me to specify a gender. In my house (and social circle) it was just such a boy thing. Forgive the tunnel vision there.
