Turn sock orphans into puppets

For those days when it's just too hot to play outside, Jennifer suggests sock puppetry:

I needed another way to beat the summer boredom, away from the heat. I went through everybody’s sock drawers and took out the ones without mates or that weren’t in great condition. I let my 4 year old draw faces on them to use as sock puppets. She used washable markers, so once in the washing machine & she can do it all over again. She spent quite a while decorating them. Some were people, animals, or aliens. She even gave some tattoos. Then she puts on shows and our 1 year old even plays too.
