Keep car seats cool with reflective emergency blankets
Hot car seats. Ugh. Liz has a fantastic tip for keeping them relatively cool during hot summer days:
A friend of ours has a great hack to keep their kids' car seats cooler in hot Las Vegas -- they cover up the seats with an inexpensive reflective emergency blanket (the silver ones). The seats stay noticeably cooler, even when it's 110 degrees in the shade!

That's a great tip! It can get horribly hot and sticky inside cars so anything that get them even a little bit cooler gets a big thumbs up from me!

My four year old is always complaining about hot car seats. That's a great idea. Sometimes I throw a towel on the seat, but that reflective blanket will work much better.

Awesome tip! I've used the car shade for the window, but then I'm left with a hot steering wheel. I'll have to see where I can get one of those blankets in here in Hawaii.

While I love supporting parent inventions, I'd rather spend less than $2 for each car seat than $50. :(

The emergency reflective blanket idea is genius! I must try this, I live in Texas and my husband and infant son are very hot natured and get VERY irritable when they get sweaty backs from hot car interiors.

I have to support the baby bee cool, I own one and in the heat of Phoenix, actually cooling off the seat and keeping the buckles from becoming burning hot is what I need. Emergency blanket is maybe ok when your car doesn't get to be 120+ degrees.
