I love the Gmail idea! One great thing is that you could also send pics or videos from your phone when you're out, or scan scribble pages and email or anything you can attach.

A twist on the Gmail tip: instead of setting a dedicated account, you could simply use Gmail's "+" feature and keep all your kids moments in your main account. For example, if your email address is jimbob@gmail.com, and your children's names are Jill and Jack, simply send Jill's memories to jimbob+jill@gmail.com and Jack's to jimbob+jack@gmail.com. These emails will still go to your main account (anything after the plus is ignored by Gmail), but will be easy peasy to find later simply by searching for all emails that are sent to jimbob+jill@gmail.com, etc. Or, make it even easier by setting a filter to automatically tag all those emails with "Jill."
