Rain pants work for cool-weather beach visits

Debbie's got a great tip for off-season beach visits (a wonderful time to go):

We sometimes head to the beach when it's too cold for swimsuit (or when we're headed off somewhere else after). I pull the kids' rain pants over their clothes. The pants keep them warm and dry while they're playing in the wet sand. When I remove them the majority of the sand stays at the beach instead of ending up in the car.

Rain pants are also great for a post-rain trip to the sandbox. I actually keep them in the stroller because you never know when you might need them!
