Store the Halloween books with the decorations

Now's a good time to recall a very smart hack from times past: pack the seasonal books away with the decorations. Works as well for Halloween as it does for other decor-heavy holidays.

And videos/DVDs, too!

Wonderful idea! I'll have to remember this one for the zillion Christmas books we have.

We have a Christmas box and an Easter box that go in our daughter's closet at the end of each holiday. (The Christmas one is bigger; the Easter one just has a few stuffed bunnies and her Easter hair elastics). It's fun to pull out the box at the beginning of each holiday season and "decorate" her room together!

And add the holiday-themed tees, tights, socks, sweatshirts, and accessories, too. Then you'll be pulling out outgrown clothes next year at just the right time to pass them along to a child that they'll fit perfectly.
