Parent Hacks Store Featured Find: Yellow pages-shaped booster seat! Hilarious!

Rael and I found ourselves with three kid-free hours at Powell’s City of Books over the weekend. Pure heaven. Besides all the lovely reading I got done, I stumbled onto this clever phonebook-shaped booster seat in the kid section. It’s soft foam, butt-shaped, and worth a serious guffaw!

Doubly funny because the actual phonebook is all but obsolete in our house except for the occasional leaf-pressing (thanks, Google). I enjoyed the little nostalgic hit…reminded me of Thanksgivings spent at my Nana’s table. I was always the smallest and so had the place of honor on top of the phonebook for years.

The maker, Fred & Friends, also came up with the kid-friendly chopsticks hinges we mentioned a while back. See worldwidefred.com for a full listing of their lighthearted products.

This booster seat looks well-suited to the lighthearted atmosphere of my parents’ house. My mother is going to laugh when she opens the box it’ll arrive in; I’m going to be chuckling for the rest of the day thinking about it. Thanks!

What? You gotta problem with “whimsical”? I did use “hilarious” twice in two days, though. You gonna hold that against me now? Huh? Huh?
