Parent Hacks admin: Status. Sigh.

Well folks, I want to apologize for the delay in getting back to the daily hacks. My best-laid plans to get my computer fixed up over the weekend were upended by a number of complicated family issues -- everything had to take a back seat to parenting, which meant no desk time and general exhaustion. I just haven't found the two or three contiguous hours it will take to get my email back in order, and my mental tank is dangerously near empty.

I hope you'll bear with me a little longer. I expect all should be back to normal by next week, but I'll try for sooner than that. As for "filling up my tank," I'm working on that, too.

Isn't that the way of things? Hang in there, we'll wait (okay, at least I will!).

I think we all know how that can be- try to take care of yourself (along with everything else). "see" you soon, MKZ

I have you on Google rss feed. So, I always check in daily. I Love this site! Hope the computer starts behaving for you soon, but in the meantime, I have been delving into the archives. There is so much great content here!!

Asha,
Of course we all understand. After all, we are all parents and have had those kind of days (or weeks). Take your time and take care.

Thank you so much for the kind comments and emails. You won't believe how comforting these pats on the shoulder feel right now.

One of the greatest things about this site is that you truly "get" parenting (being down in the muddy trenches yourself). I'm glad your family came first - that's a terrific example to set.

As Asha said, we've all been there (or if we haven't yet, just stay tuned!), so I hope you don't fret too much about how short or long it takes to get back up to speed. We're with you for the ride, no matter what.

Hang in there and take all the time you need. We're all in the same boat, and we all understand being spread thin.
Take care & we're all rooting for you!
