Exchange email photographs before playdates with new kids
From Belinda, host of kid radio show Greasy Kid Stuff:
When we have playdates with new kids, or kids we haven't seen for awhile, I ask the parent to email me a picture of their child. This helps my kidlet get past that awkward first meeting stage. She already knows what the mystery playdate child looks like and we've talked about her, used her name, and pondered what they will play together. It's worked pretty well!
In fact, this hack worked on a playdate between Belinda's and my daughters!

This sounds rather odd when "our daughters" is read in the way so often used, "my and my husband's daughters".

I think this post is awesome. I have been involved in my best friend's daughter's life for two years. Recently, my fiance' has discovered he has a biologial daughter. Before we introduced the two girls, we should both two year olds emailed pictures of both girls, as well as pictures of my fiance' and I with either girl. The girls were so excited by the time they met, they became best friends the first day.

in the fourth line, "should" should read: "showed". I apologize for the typo.
