Homemade finger puppet stand

Finder puppet standAmber of Kids Craft Weekly offers this tip for organizing finger puppets:

Get yourself an old shoe box and some wooden laundry pegs and use them to get more play out of finger puppets. Slip the pegs onto the side of the box and pop the finger puppets over the top. Excess puppets can go in the middle of the box.

Neither of my kids showed any interest in finger puppets until I introduced this idea to the house. Now they can't get enough! Slipping the pegs onto the box is a popular fine motor challenge for my two year old, and my four year old enjoys setting up little peg/puppet scenarios along the side of the box. Both kids love switching over the puppets on the pegs. As for me, I'm pleased to see the finger puppet collection finally get some use!
