Noodle soup = easy pasta for new eaters
Beth's pasta-in-a-pinch hack:
When my daughter was branching out to solid food, I found a quick and easy way to fix pasta. I buy Campbell's Kids Shapes soups (Dora, Jimmy Neutron, Batman & Goldfish shapes are available) or regular chicken noodle or alphabet soup. Pull the top (another reason to love this) and use it to keep the noodles in the can while you drain the broth. If your little one likes food a little bland or you want to lessen the sodium, rinse with water and drain again. Pop a small bowlful in the microwave for 15-20 seconds and voila, you have pasta that is easy to prepare and kids love to eat.
Another idea: you can buy alphabet pasta in packages. Boil according to the directions, then lightly drain and cool. Freeze individual portions in ice cube trays, then thaw in warm water or weak broth when you need a quick kid meal.

Veggie soup is another great one for beginners - Progresso has a minnestrone and country veggie that have big and soft chunks.

We do this often for lunches for our kids. I add a hard teething biscuit to the kid's tray add the noddles and veggies (the biscuit soaks up extra broth) and then put some cooled broth in a sippy cup. We do the same with grilled cheese and tomato soup.
