Nifty hat-plus-scarf at Land's End
Six years in the Pacific Northwest, and you'd think I'd be a little better at outfitting myself (and my kids) for cold weather and snow. I grew up in California. It doesn't come naturally.
This year, rather than cobbling together hand-me-downs and second-hand finds (which I never seem to be able to find when I need them), I'm going for broke and getting the kids actual snow outfits. I've had good luck with Land's End Overstocks -- good balance of quality and price. Of course, I often find myself wandering into the full-price Land's End store...where I came across this nifty fleece hat with an attached scarf. One less piece to fall off into the slush. Nice! (Of course, one could easily hack this together with a regular fleece hat and scarf and a couple of stitches, but it's a great idea.)

Robert: No, it's not an ad. I have no arrangement with Land's End -- I just thought it was a cool bit of winter garb.

These hat/scarf combinations are a great idea and lucky you got yours. I went on Land Ends website to order them for my twin nieces and they are NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Just my luck.
