Starfall.com teaches beginning reading
Jay Allen (The Zero Boss) pinged me about Starfall.com, "where children have fun learning to read." The next day, I got a note home from my son's first grade teacher recommending the site as a good weekend activity or homework break. Hmmmm.

Starfall is my 4½ year old's favorite site, far and away. Listening to her sing the songs isn't that bad when I remind myself that she's learning.

Starfall.com was recommended to me by a friend whose son was reading (and loving it) early. My 22-month-old loves the slide shows and can even recognize a few letters now!

"Is Jay learning to Read?" Ok I had to say that. Thank you for the tip. The site looks pretty interesting.
Be safe...

What an amazing site. It held my three year old's attention for over an hour while he learned, without realizing it, that letters make individual sounds and that there are big letters and small letters that make the same sound.
Great find, thanks.

Starfall is a great site.
My kids have all three used it for quite a long time.
Many teachers use it and recommend it as well.
