IKEA instructions as coloring books
As if IKEA weren't already kid-friendly! Mei came across a post at IKEA Hacker (!) that came across a post at sowbug.org suggesting one reuse the assembly instructions that come with some IKEA products as coloring books.

That's pretty sweet.
I remember a set of instructions for a wooden doll house we bought one year that unfolded into a huge diagram, with inset pictures, exploded views, and other cool design stuff. We put it up on the wall for the kids to color, and they had a blast.
