Read about my ONEMoms trip to Ethiopia in October 2012. Then become a member of ONE yourself! ONE will never ask for your money, only your voice. And one voice matters. I've seen it firsthand.
This is such a great idea. It allows you to browse the books just as if you were in a bookshop. The collage has a big visual impact and it is very novel.

I like the idea and hate to be the sourpuss, but these range from very young to serious teen stuff, so I'm not sure how useful it is if you're not already familiar with the material. At least next time someone comes into the library with a three-year-old asking for The Uglies, I'll know why...
I would really recommend NYPL's book lists, though. 100 Picture Books Everyone Should Know is fantastic for little guys, for example.

In response to your comments, I've divided this into two separate mosaics. The original one now only shows books for ages 9-12.
Here is the new one that shows books for ages 4-8.
