Parent Hacks admin: Terms of service and privacy policy

Three things have prompted me to write up a terms of service and privacy policy for Parent Hacks:

  • My encounter with a content scraper (not the first, I'm sure),
  • The vague notion that Parent Hacks content could someday appear in print, and
  • The fact that Parent Hacks has become a well-visited resource, and so should have a posted policy.

Here, then, is my attempt to clarify the scope of my ownership of Parent Hacks content, acceptable use of Parent Hacks content, and my responsibility as the owner/editor of Parent Hacks. If you've previously submitted hacks to Parent Hacks and don't feel comfortable with that material falling under these terms, please contact me directly (hacks@parenthacks.com) and we'll work it out together.
