Create a "vacation soundtrack" for travel entertainment

Chris Brogan came up with a fantastic way to get the whole family involved in creating travel entertainment: record yourself reading books (complete with funny voices), add some music, get your kids to do a little improv, and then listen to the recordings while on the road. He even suggested piping the soundtrack into the post-vacation video footage. Great idea. Visit lifehack.org for the full tutorial.

I love this idea. My children love helping, I have them record certain characters voices or sound effects. They like not just me reading to them, but hearing me point to the pictures and say 'It's a doggie! What does the doggie say?" THen hearing themselves make the sound. It's not just the story, it's the memory of recording it that's also fun for them.
