Talk amongst yourselves: INCHworm Shoes

InchwormMiriam recently saw INCHworm shoes featured on The Today Show:

Shoes that grow with your kids. Sounds cool. I would love to know if anyone is using them.

Anyone care to comment?

Hmm… no sizes for todds. My son’s feet are big and grow really fast. He started walking at 9 months and is now almost 2. He has had 7 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of sandals. And I am a minimalist. These would be perfect for him as he has favorites and does nto liek much change like all kids getting into the terrible 2’s phase. He has worn size 8 for 2 months now, and ready for 8.5 – maybe 9 depending on the brand. I would love these when he gets to size 10 in a couple years.

I can’t see buying these shoes (or any new shoes) for a toddler. I get nearly mint shoes at a toddler thrift store for $2 to $4. Because there is such an oversupply of quickly outgrown toddler clothing, a good thrift shop has a great selection of new stuff.

My son needed cleats for tee ball (why?!) and I found a Nike pair that fits for two sizes. A little one-size insert attached by a little ribbon can get cut off to give them a second year. Sounds like a similar idea.
