Homemade "diaper wallet"

Joe rejects a diaper bag in favor of his own invention:

No self-respecting single dad would be caught dead with one of those striped or paisley diaper bags.  Instead, I made myself a "diaper wallet" by gutting an old Case Logic CD case (honestly, when do we have time for luxuries like music any more?).  I just stash it in the car and pull it out for playground trips, etc.  Check it out: it holds 2 diapers, wipes, hand-sanitizer, a baggie for the dirty diaper, and some sunscreen.

This is a great reuse of an item that we probably have laying around the house, but if you want to buy a masculine diaper bag, check out Diaper Dude (http://www.diaperdude.com/) I bought a new one off of eBay for ~$20 less than retail too!

I remember how pleased I was the day I discovered that all the diaper stuff I really needed would fit in the pockets of a pair of cargo pants. Between the pants and a sling, I could schlep the kid around with no bag and both hands free!

Have to mention DadGear - http://www.dadgear.com/ We recently bought a diaper backpack and both dad AND mom love it! A bit pricey but well made and well worth the price (we bought this one after our "cheapo" diaper bag gave out...).

This is a great hack, esp if you have a cd case no longer being used. We got a black backpack style diaper bag so that we'd both be comfortable using it. It's on the masculine side but I also like that it has 2 straps, better for the back.

Not all diaper bags are girly and frou frou!
