Also, you can use them alternately because it doesn't fail that spoon YOU have is the one THEY want.

I heard about this when my first daughter was this age, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. But it's the only thing that works for my second daughter! I just have to wash twice as many spoons, but it's worth it!

I had a kid who wanted one in each hand and one (mine) in his mouth. That's what dishwashers are for!

Yep...dip with one and then you switch it for the one they have and dip again.
Another option is to give them a wet baby washcloth to play with while you're feeding them. Keeps their hands busy and helps with some of the mess as you go along.
