Tamiya robot kits for kids

On O'Reilly Radar, hacker dad and good friend Nat Torkington wrote a glowing account of his experience building a Tamiya Remote Controlled Insect with his son. We concur: Rael recently built a similar kit robot with our six year-old son. They both had a fantastic time, our kid learned some basic electronics, and we have a cool new toy running around the house.
