'Busy Books' are full of playtime hacks

Trish Kuffner may not consider herself a hacker, but we certainly do. She has crammed her tidy little books full of cheap, creative ways to make fun with regular household items.

The Toddler's Busy Book and The Preschooler's Busy Book contain enough good ideas to keep you and the wee ones entertained for months. In addition to the requisite homemade playdough and paste recipes, you'll find ideas for indoor and outdoor play, kitchen experimentation, math fun, arts and crafts, music, birthdays and holidays.
